ASSISTANT PUBLIC DEFENDER
The Public Defender Program of Wayne County is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Public Defender to commence service as soon as possible.
The position requires licensure as an attorney in the State of Ohio. This will be a full-time position; the outside practice of law is therefore not permitted.
Assistant Public Defenders maintain a full case load of adult clients requiring legal representation for criminal offenses. These representations require regular client contact, research, advocacy and record keeping. Experience in misdemeanor cases and Jury trials is preferred but not mandatory.
Salary range is based upon county guidelines, qualifications, and experience is
($49,982.40-$56,867.20)
