Join us March 7-8 for the Advanced DUI Seminar. For the second year, we will have the Trial Skills Academy on Saturday, March 9.  This was very well attended last year, with the attendees saying it was very beneficial!  All 3 days will be at the Westin Hotel, Columbus

NOTICE TO THOSE APPLYING FOR A SCHOLARSHIP PROVIDED BY THE OFFICE OF THE OHIO PUBLIC DEFENDER: The mailed registration form states that the scholarship is good for the Thursday and Friday seminar only.  THIS IS NOT CORRECT.  The scholarship is good for the Thursday, Friday and/or Saturday seminar.  It does not cover the cocktail reception for Thursday evening.  Priority will be given to those applicants who wish to attend all 3 days of the seminar.

 

Thursday and Friday will see experts and advocates from around the country on such topics as Winning your case with SFST studies & manuals; DRE Science, Keeping out the DRE, Introduction & advanced Gas Chromathography; Major problems with Ohio lab procedures; Voir dire tips & tactics; Cross-examination of an expert; How to make more money.  Faculty include Dr. Jimmie Valentine, Bruce Kapsack, Esq, Dr. Fran Gengo, Allen Trapp, Esq., Janine Arvizu Quality Lab Auditor, Deandra Grant, Esq., Dr. Al Staubus, and more!

We also have Ohio focused presentation by Ohio practitioners on such topics as Basics of breath testing; Handling your case from start to finish; Motion pleadings and everything you need to know; Mock motion hearings on RAS, PC, SFST & breath test regulations; Reviewing breath logs; Dealing with difficult prosecutors; What makes judges tick; Winning at trial even in test cases; and taking on the Itoxilyzer 8000 or DataMaster.

Hours - Thursday 5 hours; Friday 6 hours; Saturday 5 hours.
