The Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (OACDL), founded in 1986, is a professional association with over 525 members around the state. OACDL is an advocate of progressive criminal laws and policies that are consistent with constitutional principles, limited government intrusion into the lives of Americans, and a free society.

Publication Discounts
OACDL is the publisher of the Criminal Law Case Book, authored by the Franklin County Public Defender’s Office. This 600 plus page notebook is updated annually and is a must for criminal defense lawyers. Members enjoy a substantial savings on the book and the updates.

Membership is open to all attorneys of good standing, or their associated employees, who practice or have an interest in criminal defense. Membership categories have been developed to meet the needs of all criminal defense practitioners.

Regular Member
Entitled to all OACDL benefits
Staff Public Defender or Member of the Bar for less than two (2) years$75.00
Regular Membership$175.00
Sustaining Member
Includes Regular Member benefits plus voting and office holding privileges.

Includes recognition as such and membership on the Board of Directors.
